We gave a new and modern life to the identified monument of architecture of the late 19th century located on the seashore, that now is turned into a summer mansion. There are many legends and stories about Dacha of General Sokolov, and they are all reflected in the work on this house. After the necessary restoration work we developed the project of the interior for the original three-storey building in neoclassical style, combining the atmosphere of a Russian mansion, as well as European moderation and modern ideas about luxury rest. The internal spaces inspired by the Russian classical style are decorated in the same manner – for this we selected colors of noble shades in different variations, referring to the romanticism of the last century, but also using modern materials and bold color accents. The basement has a wine cellar with an entrance from the garden, while the outdoor recreation zone includes a swimming pool, a barbecue area, a bathhouse and a lounge zone. According to one of the stories, next to General Sokolov’s dacha there was a greenhouse with exotic plants and fruit trees – this was reflected in the detailed design of the landscape with lots of plants – flowers and ornamental trees, hedges and lawns, as well as playgrounds for children. The calm and romantic atmosphere of the country house is complemented by well-designed lighting: lanterns on the pergolas, by the pool and along the garden paths.
